3rd Line Support Analyst

3rd Line Support Analyst

12 month FTC | Wellington House, Physics Road | Liverpool | United Kingdom | L249HP

As 3rd Line Support Analyst you will support the businesses existing infrastructure including server, storage, network, data and applications as well as project based work to improve and enhance the infrastructure environment.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Administering the corporate infrastructure.
  • Delivering third line support and infrastructure projects.
  • Recommending and delivering improved IT infrastructure systems.
  • Demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  • Managing IT projects to meet pre-defined objectives.
  • Experience of migrations affecting Windows domain/Office 365/Microsoft Azure.
  • Good working knowledge of Windows Server 2012/2016.
  • Excellent knowledge of VMware vSphere 6.5 in an enterprise environment.
  • Good knowledge/experience of troubleshooting networking protocols and technologies such as DHCP, DNS,  Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, etc.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server 2014+.
  • Experience of patch management deployment/Windows Software Update Services.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7+.
  • Ability to perform Research and Development into new systems in preparation for implementation/third line support.
  • Administer the Avaya IP 500 VOIP telephone system.
  • Installation and upgrades of all software.
  • Break-fix of both server and desktop hardware and software.
  • Provide one-on-one assistance for all internal and external end-users.
  • Ensuring companies are compliant with licensing requirements
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central (Microsoft Dynamics NAV) or similar enterprise ERP system.
  • Liaise and supervise with external clients and IT related service providers.
  • Keep operational documentation up-to-date.
  • Aptitude to learn new technologies as they are incorporated into the system.
  • Familiarity with mobile devices and management technologies.
  • Travel to sites to provide on-site assistance.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Comprehensive demonstrable experience in IT Support with at proven experience working in a network /server support capacity.
  • Experience of migrations affecting Windows domain/Office 365/Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with virtualisation and containerisation (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, etc.)
  • BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
  • Technical certification is preferred.
