Regional Commercial Manager

The Regional Commercial Manager is responsible for the fiscal & operational delivery of the agreed commercial and consumer targets within their assigned regions. Working closely with their ITGB counterparts, ensure work plan targets are agreed and delivered through local salesforces. Take ownership of local traditional retail commercial opportunities, aligned to strategy, ensuring partnerships are garnered with focused accounts. Working closely with the New Business Commercial team, acquire sustainable commercial partnerships within the Vape, Head Shop and Tobacconist channels, ensuring service levels of assigned Business Development Representatives deliver against Fontem ambitious growth objectives. Aligned with the Revenue Growth Management team, provide insight from a local level up into Fontem to shape strategic direction.

 Key Accountabilities & Deliverables:

 Ensure the delivery of agreed commercial and operational targets within your assigned region    
Identify, aligned to Fontem’s strategy, commercial opportunities within your assigned region, to amplify growth potential and mitigate risk
Identify and deliver regional insights, that help shape Fontem’s strategy and deliver on growth ambitions
Form a collaborative working relationships with the ITGB Regional teams, ensuring work plans are delivered, coaching and development needs are met for their Salesforce and there are established information sharing taking place on a regular basis to capitalize on opportunities and mitigate risks
Working closely with the New Business Commercial team, deliver a sustainable distribution and activation footprint with your assigned region, ensuring Fontem delivers its growth ambitions
Ensure the engagement of your regional teams through the delivery of agreed coaching and development plans, clarity of messaging and celebration of successes within your teams. Ensure a safe working environment is maintained within your region
Form a collaborative working relationship with Sales, Finance, Revenue Growth Management, Marketing and IT
 

Qualifications/Requirements:

5-8 years of relevant experience in a senior sales management role
Bachelor’s Degree, with an MBA or other Graduate Degree preferred
Strategic problem solver with the ability to see the big picture as well as finer details
Proven history of successful people management, with a clear ability to link commercial success with employee engagement
Strong business acumen, analytical skills and comfort with financial analysis
Desire to make his/her mark in a fast-paced and dynamic high growth category with complex legal & regulatory principles
A strength in stakeholder management from Senior Leadership level down to Sales Force executors
