The role

As the Content Manager you will be part of Fontem Venture’s growing digital team based in Amsterdam. You will be responsible for coordinating the content-related tasks during the roll-out of our blu.com website in new markets. You will work in collaboration with our e-Commerce Operations Project Manager as well as with designers, developers, content editors, testers, internal stakeholders and the local market stakeholders.

Key accountabilities

  • Manage and oversee the content planning and day-to-day tasks for the content implementation of new market sites, including briefing partners, developing schedules, assigning and monitoring tasks and managing stakeholders
  • Lead from end-to-end the launch of brand sites in new markets, from the kick-off phase to the preparation phase, weekly calls, go-live, hypercare and handover phase. (brand sites are informational sites)
  • Collaborating in and outside of the team to plan and develop site content
  • Promote and manage content and campaign setup best practices with markets
  • Developing content strategy with business targets and market alignment
  • Managing and working with Contentful, and collaborating within the organization to ensure it is meeting the needs of Fontem
  • Adding and editing copy, images, videos and other content types
  • Liaise with other content creators to ensure brand consistency
  • Optimize content according to SEO needs and best practices
  • Manage content distribution to multiple channels
  • Ensure compliance with law (e.g. copyright and data protection) through local market alignment

Skills & experience

  • Exceptional project management skills and experience with eCommerce website builds and Transcreation/Localisation projects would be an advantage
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience with managing backlogs, creating user stories and working within an agile scrum development process
  • Knowledge of excel, project management tools, JIRA and Confluence is a bonus
  • Proven work experience as Content Manager
  • Previous experience using CMS systems
  • Basic knowledge of HTML & CSS
  • 3 – 4 years merchandising and ecommerce experience
  • Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics
  • Experience working in an omni-channel environment
  • Personal qualities: detail-orientated, organised, pro-active, leadership & stakeholder management skills, ability to prioritise and flag potential issues, flexible and approachable
