The role

In Fontem we are excited to build our Market Expansion team to enable our ambitious market roll outs in the years to come. We're looking for the best and most agile Digital professional to lead the digital set up of www.blu.com in new markets. If you have passion and expertise in digital, business development, working with different cultures and in an omni-channel approach to engage consumers this is the job for you. The Digital Deployment Lead – Market Expansion is responsible for planning, engaging and establishing the ways of working in the digital channel for new markets where out Blu products will be launched.

The Digital lead will be part of the Market Expansion team and will work closely with our established Global Digital team for innovations, roadmaps & operations, other market Expansion workstreams and Imperial Brands teams in the markets where we will expand to ensure we can successfully launch our products in new markets. The Digital lead will coordinate the plan and kick off activities with the markets, ensure that operations and ways of working with the Global Digital team are crystal clear before launch and ensure that markets understand how to leverage Fontem’s digital capabilities to ensure the omni-channel approach to increase consumer engagement in the market.

Key accountabilities

  • Ensure the digital channel is properly set up and leveraged to deliver best-in-class ecommerce and digital consumer experiences along the connected consumer journey in new markets, in line with our global strategy, infrastructure, roadmaps and global Digital capabilities
  • Develop the launch strategy and plan together with other team members from the Market Expansion team and the Global Digital Fontem team
  • To manage the digital project launch in new markets, including ensuring delivering key milestones on time and engagement and management of key stakeholders
  • Together with the Global eCommerce Manager, lead the ecommerce approach to be set up in the new markets and maximise sales potentials through this channel
  • Work on continuing the improvements in our omni-channel approach to our consumers and the approach to be set up in new markets.
  • You will own and guide market roll-outs, advise on innovations and product features in new markets through the global feature, UX and development roadmap and launch cycle in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Define and drive success metrics to ensure new markets are properly set up for a digital operation, this will include resourcing, infrastructure and others
  • Collaborate with Global Digital, consumer marketing, and research to establish exceptional digital experiences for our users in new markets
  • Support markets with processes and workflows between local markets and Global Digital, to ensure the correct level of capabilities and resources are available.

Skills & experience

  • All rounded ecommerce experience across platforms like Demandware, Commerce Cloud and CMS. Thorough knowledge of how direct-to-consumer ecommerce platforms operate and are developed by agile scrum developer teams. Building ecommerce promotional plans, value propositions, ecommerce analytics and traffic channels.
  • University Degree: Business Administration, International Business, Marketing or related degree
  • 6-9 years e-commerce & digital experience, ideally both client and agency side
  • Exceptional project management skills and experience and the ability to develop a business case and prove ROI.
  • Possess strong analytical reasoning and business acumen; able to assess/determine clear business outcomes
  • Proven ability to manage internal, cross functional teams to deliver projects on time and on budget.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and compelling manner
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority; experienced in stakeholder management
  • Experience in working in an international environment is a must
  • Strategic, analytic and commercial thinker, strong analytical skills
  • Entrepreneurial skills – good in starting up and seeing through new initiatives
  • Understands the company technology stack and relevant infrastructure at a high level
  • Result and output driven: building, mutual understanding with all stakeholders and creating the right structure and atmosphere for successful collaboration. Active project-management, as leader or participant, taking accountability for the quality, timing and results of the executions.
  • Change-agent and self-starter. Inspiring and result-oriented. Likes to lead by example. Ability to work under stress, managing multiple projects simultaneously. Great ability to prioritize.
  • Mobilizes the organization: effective listening and delivery of messages (written & verbal communication).
  • Empathic and culturally adaptable with relevant experience in multi-cultural settings (both from a geographic- and business- perspective).
  • Resourceful and inventive; able to get highest return on investments, based on great judgement and smart resource-planning. Hungry to realize the biggest business impact with modest investments.
  • Highly capable to build connections between business objectives and activities and to decide on the right selection. Identifies patterns and proposes solutions to exceed business expectations. Able to build repeatable success across markets with an increasing level of efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Computer literacy; strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must like to travel The Digital Lead – market Expansion is part of the Market Expansion team and reports with a dotted-line to the Global Head of Digital. The Market Expansion team is responsible for the realisation of successful launch and omnichannel presence of our products in new markets. You have senior experience working in a complex and challenging environment both from an internal stakeholder’s perspective as from a market perspective. You are performance driven, strategic, have an eye for detail and a no-nonsense approach.
