Acquired by Imperial Brands Plc in 2017, Nerudia is a young and dynamic business which is wholly owned by Fontem Ventures, the NGP (Next Generation Products) arm of Imperial Brands. We are focused on developing a leading portfolio of next generation products including the vaping brand blu.

Competitive Salary

A commercially minded and pro-active person is required to work with the Innovations and Science HR team.

Partnering with leadership teams and employees on day-to-day HR activities to enable the Innovation and Science teams to deliver their business objectives. To identify areas where HR can add value and to create solutions in support of strategic goals and improving organisational performance, including supporting Change Projects. Run annual HR processes including Performance Management, Talent & Succession processes and Salary & Bonus processes. Managing all ER cases and processes covering Disciplinary, Capability and Grievance processes, and responsible for providing high quality, pragmatic and commercial HR / employee relations advice to managers and employees.

Key accountabilities

  • Partner with the business to understand their key business performance focus areas, objectives and drivers, and associated people requirements for both the current and future business challenges.
  • Working closely with key stakeholders to ensure the teams have the right capabilities at the right time, including following a consistent approach to Performance Management, Talent and Succession
  • Partnering with leadership teams and CoE to bridge capability gaps where needed.
  • Manage the annual HR People Processes (Performance Management, Talent & Succession, Reward Review)
  • Upskilling Managers successfully to enable them to own all people processes in their team.
  • Follow a consistent approach to all people processes, seeking to address ER issues at an early stage. When required, will oversee Tribunal and legal matters
  • Managing all Organisational Design and Change Projects in a legally complaint way.
  • Support all disciplinary, absence, grievance or capability cases, taking an active role in complex cases or at the Appeal stage.Ensure resolution of Employee Relations cases with minimal risk and cost to the organisation.
  • Researching and identifying best practice initiatives and delivering as appropriate – an awareness of external / Group initiatives and taking steps to introduce or tailor these for the UK as required.
  • Ensuring HR’s contribution is strategically business relevant and aligned to commercial goals.
  • Undertake ad hoc people related projects such as employee engagement, top employer certification etc.

Skills & experience

You will ideally have the following essential qualification, skills and experience

  • You will have HR experience and possess sound knowledge of UK Employment Law and HR Best Practice
  • Strong partnering skills combined with excellent communication skills
  • A commercial outlook combined with strong organisational skills
  • Experience in compensation and benefits
  • An inquisitive mind with a strong analytical mindset and the ability to make judgements.
  • A self-starting approach to learning, who is open-minded to embracing change and driving this in their business area.
  • You must be able to display a high degree of confidentiality, as well as integrity and empathy.
  • Fluent in English
  • This role has international client groups and therefore business travel is required from time to time

The following qualifications and experience are desirable.

  • Experience in working for multinational FMCG companies, while applicants with qualifications in any of the following areas - Coaching, Conflict Consulting and Training – would be advantageous.
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent
