We have a great opportunity for an Operations Coordinator to join our Operations team, reporting to the Planning & Logistics Manager.  There will be daily and weekly routine tasks which you will be responsible for, but your duties will vary based upon ongoing business targets and objectives; so the ideal candidate will be adept at multi-tasking and comfortable with building relationships with different stakeholder groups, both internally and externally.  We have so many exciting things going on around here – we’re innovation pioneers, if you didn’t know – so if you’re organised and can work in a fast paced environment, we’d love to hear from you!

Key accountabilities

Responsibilities of an Operations Coordinator include but are not limited to the following:

Planning & Logistics:

  • Sales order processing and maintenance
  • Customer queries and resolution support
  • Purchase order processing and maintenance
  • Support Operations to meet Planning & Logistics expectations with regards to material,

documentation, schedule etc.

  • Liaise between key business functions to ensure smooth Operations deliverables i.e. material, components, samples etc.
  • Support project tasks e.g. Pilot Plant to ensure project delivery within agreed timeline
  • Ensure compliance is maintained with company standards & procedures

Project Planning:

  • Liaise and coordinate with project lead to ensure key deliverables are achieved
  • Support the Project Manager and project team to achieve an efficient and effective project
  • Assist Project team with Administrative duties

Procurement:

  • New Item and Supplier research support and creation
  • Item and supplier master data maintenance
  • Tender and enquiry support

Skills & experience

  • Internal & external audit performance i.e. Regulatory & Customer etc.
  • Feedback from 1-2-1’s & annual performance review
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment & comfortable with continual change
  • Demonstrated professional verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills at all levels of business
  • Strong organisational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to work on your own initiative
  • Strong administrative skills with high attention to detail and processes, always striving to improve
  • High literacy and numeracy skills
  • Goal oriented, interpersonal, self-motivated and team player
  • Intermediate to Advanced level in Microsoft packages, in particular Excel
  • Experience in using ERP/MRP systems. e.g. Microsoft NAV/SAP (beneficial)

Qualifications:

  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience experience
  • Minimum 5 GCSE’s or equivalent including Maths & English (grade C and above)
