We have a product roadmap requiring a large portfolio of product development and new product delivery. The product of blu, are both physical experiences delivered into the hand of the consumer as well as digital experiences delivered on-line. You will be pivotal in bringing to life market-leading new product developments, leveraging your skills in customer insights, ground-up product development, commercial modelling and your ability to inspire a multi-functional team who will be the armoury you’ll need to get this job done. Your persistence will be key as there is a lot to do as new ideas, iterations and products are being constantly brought to the fore of this exciting and dynamic company.
In your core product team you will be assigned an important role for a number of given products, many of which will require you to bring this class of product to market for the very first time. There will be little to copy and lots to learn. You will need to use your knowledge of customer insight, your problem solving and a great deal of creativity to conjure new commercial angles, customer journeys and outcomes in order to assist the business to deliver on its mission to convert smokers to vaping with blu.
As a Product Marketing Manager, you will work alongside and spark ideas off colleagues, all with a similar drive to succeed and who individually report to the blu Head of Product and in turn to the Consumer Experience Director. As part of this product team you will collectively own the NPD and improvement process – managing the life-cycle of these products over time and always ensuring that they meet the needs of the brand and consumer.
You will work with a multifunctional team of innovators, brand marketers, designers, engineers, digital specialists and external agencies together with colleagues from communications, corporate affairs, legal and finance. For the more complex products these teams will be by nature large and often multi-locational to service the development needs of the business – but ultimately you will be responsible for the ROI of the out-turning product development.
You operate in Scrum, setting a compelling vision of success and through product sprints, will prioritise the backlog (workload), marshal resources as appropriate and in close collaboration with the Head of Product have to make rapid and material business decisions to ensure full product delivery.
