Your main duties will be authoring SDSs and conducting product classifications for supply and transport. You will also provide regulatory support to colleagues and customers concerning the classification of products. Be given technical information, eg ingredient information (formula ingredients, levels) and also physical information (pH, viscosity, density). Using the company’s commercial SDS software system you will play a key role within the health and safety team by taking responsibility for SDS classification, authoring and labelling. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel. Demonstrated ability to work effectively on multiple assignments concurrently and to reprioritise work quickly to meet changing demands. You must be systematic, have strong attention to detail, be comfortable communicating with a range of stakeholders and be able to work in a small close-knit team environment. Preparation of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and label recommendations in compliance with relevant global regulations and company policies. Research various regulatory and HSE requirements (chemical composition, hazard evaluation, fire protection, handling and storage requirements, selection of PPE, transportation classification, chemical inventory status, etc.). Understand and be familiar with applicable international, European and national regulations (i.e. GHS, CLP, REACH). Coordinate with the business sectors and their suppliers to collect and determine adequacy of available information. Use software tools to prepare SDS.
Get document checked by a reviewer, Upload the documents onto shared space/folder, maintain the shared space. Adding revising documents or removing expired/superseded ones Upload final documents. Experience working with multiple languages checking these amendments with ECHA and US SDS advantages.
