The Social & Media Manager will play a key role is delivering blu’s vision for compelling brand experiences. This role is based in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. Working with the Consumer Experience Director, the Social & Media Manager will develop and execute blu’s annual direct to consumer communication plans through social and paid media channels. In the role, the Social & Media manager will be responsible for blu’s owned social channels, using brand and/or user generated content to drive consumer engagement and following. The role will also manage blu’s annual paid media plans, using insight to drive efficient and targeted messaging while managing performance based trafficking to blu’s owned digital channels. The role will need to work cross-functionally with relevant internal stakeholders, and external agencies, ensuring all social and paid media plans are connected and amplified across blu’s annual marketing plans. The Social & Media Manager will be responsible for the continued review and refinement of blu direct to consumer communication plans, ensuring they are delivering against the agreed KPI’s and budget.

 

Key Accountabilities & Deliverables:

  • Lead the delivery of blu’s annual direct to consumer communication plan, working cross-functionally to deliver relevant brand stories and experiences.  
  • Own blu’s social media channels, developing and delivering compelling brand or/or user generated content that drives consumer engagement while building social channel following.
  • Work within the Marketing team to identify and execute brand or influencer partnerships to further amplify blu’s social media presence and following.  
  • Develop and manage blu’s annual paid media plans, driving effective, efficient and targeting consumer messaging to target consumers.
  • Work cross functionally with the Digital team and the media agency(s), to execute performance based media campaigns that deliver highly engaged leads to blu’s owned Digital properties.  
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure post campaign engagement is maintained across digital, CRM live event activation, in Retail and within Customer service.
  • Continuously review and appraise new Social channels and media partners, adjusting and strengthening blu’s approach to delivering compelling brand experiences.
  • Manage blu Social and Media agency partners including contract negotiation, SOW development, budgeting and annual performance reviews.
  • Develop and deliver regular business reports providing clear recommendation for both short-term and long-term improvements to the direct to consumer communication plans.  
  • Develop, manage and track the annual direct to consumer communication plan budget and KPI’s.
     

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • +5 years of relevant experience in a consumer marketing or Social/Media agency role.    
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
  • Track record of performance driving effective, efficient and performance based social and paid media plans.
  • Appreciation of consumer behaviours and experience delivering marketing programs in a multi-channel category
  • Ability to problem solve while also seeing and appreciating the finer details of execution.  
  • Creative thinker with demonstrated ability to drive ideas while working cross-functionally.      
  • Strong business acumen, analytical skills and comfort developing and delivering plan reviews
  • Desire to make his/her mark in a fast-paced high growth category with complex legal and regulatory principles
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
